SUN RECORDS/JERRY PHILLIPS

The connection between the Nebraska
Rock 'N Roll Hall of
Fame and Sun Records runs
directly through The Smoke Ring.
The first Smoke Ring sessions
were cut at Phillips Recording,
on Union Avenue, in Memphis, and
engineered by Knox Phillips,
son of Elvis producer, Sam Phillips.
These sessions also brought together
Smoke Ring guitarist Jim Casey, and Sam's youngest son, Jerry
Phillips. Jerry, a guitarist
and songwriter, was a member of the legendary band, The
Jesters, whose hit, Cadillac
Man, was the last release on Sun Records, and is
still a cult favorite in the
States and Europe. Jerry is a double treat on both
guitar and piano.
